Tesco expands Stronger Together sponsorship to the wider Tesco group
Tesco, a leading multinational retailer, has recently expanded its sponsorship of the Stronger Together Consumer Goods Programme from their UK business to the wider Tesco Group.
Tesco was a founding sponsor of Stronger Together in 2013, with this expansion now extending their sponsorship benefits to Tesco business units in the Republic of Ireland and Central Europe as well as Booker and OneStop. This provides Tesco colleagues and suppliers with a comprehensive package of support across both the forced labour and responsible recruitment streams of the programme, helping tackle hidden labour exploitation and embed good practice.
About Stronger Together’s Consumer Goods Programme
Stronger Together’s Consumer Goods programme is a ground-breaking example of industry change through a collaborative approach. As a sector-specific programme, it supports UK and global supply chains, empowering companies to take decisive action within their operations, supply chains and beyond to tackle forced labour and embed responsible recruitment.
Two thematic workstreams – Forced Labour and Responsible Recruitment – allow programme sponsors to address risks to jobseekers and workers within the UK Consumer Goods sector and supply chains. Sponsors and their suppliers gain access to interactive training workshops, capacity building tools and free to download resources to support implementation of effective management systems.
