For almost twenty years, David has built collaborative programmes to drive systemic human rights improvements in global supply chains. He is the Founder of Stronger Together, Fast Forward, Clearview and the Responsible Recruitment Toolkit, and is Chief Executive of the Association of Labour Providers and allianceHR – all of which seek to promote ethical business practices, support the rights and voice of workers, and strengthen responsible sourcing in supply chains.
David was a member of the ETI led Temporary Labour Working Group which instigated the Private Member’s Bill that, following the drowning of 23 Chinese cockle pickers at Morecambe Bay, led to the formation of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA). He served as a GLA Board Member for over ten years, founded and Co-Chairs the Apparel and General Merchandising Public/Private Protocol and received the peer group chosen 2018 Marsh Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the fight against Modern Slavery’.
