Rental guidance for migrant workers

Many migrant workers in the UK are unaware of their basic rights when it comes to renting accommodation and where to go to get help. This can lead to vulnerable workers becoming exploited by rogue landlords and at worst becoming victims of modern slavery.

Stronger Together, a multi-stakeholder initiative to reduce hidden labour exploitation in supply chains, has produced multi-language guidance for migrant workers on private renting.

A lack of English can make migrant workers easy targets and the guidance provides information on how to safely rent accommodation and what to do if you are being exploited.
