1. Who should complete the answers to the questions in the tool? One representative from your company, with oversight of your overall modern slavery programme, should be responsible for completing the tool, with insight and input from relevant team members where necessary. Your responses should be signed off by a senior manager/legal counsel/Director.
  2. How long should it take to complete all questions in the tool? It should take between 2 and 4 hours to complete all questions. Completion will also depend on the individual’s knowledge of your tackling modern slavery programme and how much time is required gathering input and insight from relevant team members.
  3. Are there any pre-requisites to using the tool? You must be a supplier to one of the Stronger Together Consumer Goods project sponsors. We also recommend that your organisation should have attended the Tackling Modern Slavery in Global Supply Chains workshop and that the sites within your organisation should have attended the Tackling Modern Slavery in UK Business workshop as many questions within the tool relate to your business/operations and your supply chain.
  4. We are a large organisation and different team members have responsibility for different areas of our Tackling Modern Slavery programme; how do we accommodate this? It is appreciated that you will need to gain input from appropriate team members and for this reason, you can save your progress at any time. You can also print out a list of the questions to share with relevant colleagues to help to plan your responses.
  5. Why can only one person complete the responses for our organisation? The tool is intended to be an indicator of your progress across your whole organisation and not just at the individual site level; by keeping the completion to just one person responsible for your organisation’s approach to tackling modern slavery, this will assist in maintaining the integrity of the responses.
  6. What is the difference between save progress and submit answers? Save progress allows you to save your responses as you go and will enable your senior manager/legal counsel/Director to review the responses before submitting. Each time you select submit, a date stamp is recorded with a scoring of your responses on the progress graph.
  7. Why do I have to complete a profile page and then also request access to use the tool?  You will only need to request access to use the tool on your initial visit to the tool.
  8. How will I know when my access to use the tool has been approved? You will receive an email indicating this – if you have not received this email within 1 working day, please contact Stronger Together by emailing [email protected] or phoning +44 (0) 1276 919090.
  9. Who else can see my responses to the questions raised? You can indicate which of your retail customers can see your responses by selecting (or not) the appropriate brand name in the ‘Your Customers’ field on the ‘Your Profile’ page.
  10. What do the different coloured columns on the graph indicate? The blue columns are the responses that you have given, whilst the red columns are the responses of all other suppliers in the sector that you operate in that have completed all questions.
  11. What does the progress graph show? The progress graph shows your progress over time with the overall score plotted each time you update and submit your responses.
  12. What is the difference between the supply chain graph and supplier graph? This is a feature only visible to retailers – the supply chain graph details the responses of all of the suppliers in your supply chain who have completed all questions. The supplier graph indicates the responses of those individual suppliers in your supply chain who have expressed their consent to you viewing their responses.
  13. The graphs look very busy – how can I drill down and make the information clear when discussing our progress with colleagues? By its very nature, tackling modern slavery is a complex issue and no single action is sufficient. The responses to your questions can however be filtered by the 6 different question categories which are aligned to the UN Guiding Principles framework.
  14. How many times can I use the tool? There are no restrictions on the number of times you complete the questions in the tool. You can update your progress at any time. Each time you submit your responses, an overall score will appear against that date on the progress graph.
  15. How will Stronger Together use the information that we provide? Stronger Together will use the information provided, to determine the areas that suppliers may be facing challenges with. This will help us ensure that our training solutions and resources are tailored to best support the needs of organisations.
  16. What happens when the person who had previously completed the tool is now no longer responsible or has left the business? Please email [email protected] detailing your organisation’s name and the name of the previous person responsible, along with the name and email address of the person now responsible. We will then transfer your responses to this new person.
  17. Where do I go for additional support when using this tool? Please refer to the user guides available, or the video guidance. If you still require assistance, please contact Stronger Together by emailing [email protected] or phoning +44 (0) 1276 919090.
  18. I supply to the consumer goods sector, but I don’t see my customer’s (ie retailer) name in the list of possible customers. The tool is only available to suppliers to one of the Stronger Together project sponsors.
  19. I don’t supply to the consumer goods sector but would like to be able to track my progress  If you operate in different sectors and would like to use this resource, please contact Stronger Together by emailing [email protected]. 21. My organisation is part of a larger organisation – which organisation name should I use to complete the tool? If your organisation is recognised as a separate entity in its own name and recognised as that with clients please use that organisation name as opposed to the larger organisation.
