Exciting developments in the Collaborative Construction Programme

We are excited to announce two new developments in our collaborative Construction Programme.

Firstly, we have updated the Construction Toolkit. Last dated in 2019, the revised 2024 version takes into account all the latest changes in Construction sector.

The Construction Toolkit provides employers and labour providers in the UK construction and property sectors with pragmatic and practical information, guidance and tools to deter, detect and deal with modern slavery and other serious forms of labour exploitation within their own operations and supply chains.

Exciting developments in the Collaborative Construction Programme

Part one – Provides the knowledge required to understand what modern slavery is and how it could impact your organisation.

Part two – Provides strategic and operational steps and guidance detailing the actions your organisation can take to deter, detect and deal with modern slavery and other serious forms of labour exploitation.

What next steps can you take?

We recommend reading part one and attending the “Tackling Modern Slavery in the Construction and Property sector” workshop. Once you have completed part one, you can start on part two, which is a self-assessment to identify your current practice, any gaps and the additional activities you should complete

The second major development for the Construction programme is the launch of Stronger Together Business Partners for the Construction and Property Sector.

What benefits are there for becoming a Business Partner?

Business Partners is a key tool for businesses to publicly demonstrate their commitment to tackling labour exploitation and embedding responsible recruitment to their clients and stakeholders. By becoming recognised as a Business Partner, a business can access a network sharing best practice and have the opportunity to learn from peers.

Business Partners receive a logo that they can display on their website and business materials .

Plus there are opportunities to:

  • Attend exclusive events for Business Partners
  • Join a supportive community
