Central repository modern slavery statements
August 23, 2016 10:54 am, , Leave your thoughtsWe welcome the discussions about putting in place a central repository for human trafficking and modern slavery statements published by companies under the UK Modern Slavery Act, as one central register will increase transparency. We agree with the criteria for the repository as set out in ETI’s blog.
The two current initiatives are:
- The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre registry of slavery and human trafficking statements under the UK Modern Slavery Act is collating statements in a free searchable dynamic database. To date there are 423 statements.
- The tiscreport.org central Modern Slavery Act 2015 registry by Unseen.
